In a rather an expected turn, Citizen TV presenter Willis Raburu has announced a new stage name as he gears to join the music industry.

Raburu shared the unexpected announcement during his appearance on Jalang’o’s Vlog “Bonga Na Jalas” saying that he’s currently working with several artists for his big debut.

“Bazu”, a street name made popular by Ethic in their song “Daktari”, will be Raburu’s stage name. Other than that, the popular presenter dodged sharing anything else about his new venture.

“I have something coming out. You see this Bazu, next week watch out for that. Next week my first single is dropping. I’m getting into music and this (Bazu) is actually my music name. I have featured some of the greats,” revealed Willis Raburu.

He later took to his Facebook page to share about the announcement but didn’t offer much Infor, intentionally choosing to keep his fans guessing.

“BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!! you heard it first! At @jalangoo TV #BazuTainment.” he said on social media.

Raburu been presenting and anchoring at Citizen TV for a decade now.

He has managed to climb up the ladder from a mere intern to a senior anchor in the newsroom. He is also credited for the successful launch of teens' program “10 over 10”.

10 over 10 mainly focuses on premiering new music from local talent, a thing that might have pushed the presenter into joining the music space just to get a taste of it.
