On Sunday, March 13, David Mathenge alias Nameless led other Kenyan celebrities in commemorating the passing of the late music artist - Issah Mmari Wangui commonly known as E-Sir.

The music artists visited the graveyard where E-Sir was buried to honor him.

Some of the celebrities who accompanied Nameless to the graveyard included Nonini, Wahu, Talia Oyando, Lenny, Big Pin, and Habibi (E-Sir's younger brother).

In a video shared by Nonini on Instagram, the celebrities were seen holding flowers as they surround E-Sirs resting place.

The visit to E-Sir's graveyard came a day before the actual day he died and four days before his birthday.

E-Sir was born on 20 May 1981 and died at the age of 21 after being involved in a tragic road accident.

The hip hop artist died on March 16, 2003, in a road accident while he was on his way back to Nairobi from a concert at Afraha Stadium, Nakuru town.

During the visit to the graveyard, the artists offered a prayer to the fallen hero and poured water on the grave as they remembered E-Sir who would be turning 40 years old this month.

Nonini said the group also visited another artist, Ferouz Hirji, brother to rapper Nazizi who died in 2006.

"Special Sunday as we remembered the late E-SIR! He would have been turning 40 this year. We also took time and visited Ferooz as well," Nonini wrote on Instagram.

Last year while celebrating the 17th death anniversary of his departed friend, Nameless said the late rapper left the music industry with an inspiring legacy that still leaves on.

The Salary hitmaker noted that E-Sir understood the music industry and used his gift at a younger age to inspire the new generation.

"You understood synergy at a very young age. You understood the market very first, you understood your gifts and passion and used them well. You achieved your purpose and your spirit lives as you continue to inspire new generations. Your spirit and energy were about love and that's why people love you so much," Nameless said in an Instagram post.

Nameless further noted that till today, he continues to understand the role E-Sir played in his life.

"As I continue to evolve, I begin to understand your role in my life. Thank you for being part of my inspiration. Legends never die," he added.
