A section of Kenyans is still firing at former NTV news anchor Larry Madowo for switching his accent while in the US.
Madowo, who works for BBC, has officially resumed work after taking a year-long break. He has however changed roles moving from the BBC African business reporter to BBC correspondent in the US.
Kenyans however haven’t been too happy with his new move.
Hours after larry Madowo posted his first assignment which was about  Americans debating on reopening of schools in the country, Kenyans couldn't help but notice his sharp change in accent.
According to many, Madowo had to change his accent in order to get the job.
Hundreds of Kenyans have been flocking his Twitter page to bash him over the 'fake' American accent, urging him to quit his job instead of faking it.
Larry wasn't impressed by the negative feedback and went on to turn off the comment section then Tweeting: "When you exceed people’s expectations and they can no longer define you, they’ll try to discredit you."
Kenyans, however, haven't eased with the attacks two days later.
