Kenyan social media influencer, Kevin Mboya, who had planned to surprise his girlfriend on her birthday, has been gifted KSH. 700,000 (approximately $6,500) by aspiring politician Alinoor Mohamed, following his emotional video update.

Mboya had earlier posted on social media that he had traveled all the way from Nairobi to Kwale county, where his girlfriend works, to surprise her on her birthday. He explained that he had not informed her that he was coming and he thought it would be a pleasant surprise.

However, after three days of silence, Mboya took to his Youtube channel to reveal that he was not in an emotionally good place and came back with the flowers he went with.
