Renowned media personality and Kiss FM presenter Michelle Kamene Goro is back on TV after a long hiatus.

The sassy lady, who hosts Kiss FM’s breakfast show alongside comedian Oga Obinna, has landed a show dubbed Good Vibes Only which will air on Kiss TV at 10pm every Saturday.

Speaking on during the Kiss TV relaunch on Wednesday, May 25, Kamene revealed that the show will be about music, celebrities, gossip and urged her fans to tune in for a good time.

Further, she noted that she was happy to be back on TV after being away from the screens for nearly five years and promised to make the show the biggest entertainment program in the region.

Notably, Kamene has not been on TV since October 2017 when she resigned from Ebru TV which was facing financial problems at the time. However,  she did not give a concrete explanation as to why she had decide to why quit her job.

"I left, heading to greener pastures. I just felt like Ebru wasn't the Ebru that I fell in love with. It was a career and at the same time, it was becoming a bit difficult working there,” she noted.

Homeboyz Radio breakfast show host Charlie Karumi will also be hosting a comical show on Kiss TV titled Friday Night Live - which is expected to compete with Citizen TV’s 10/10 and The Trend which airs on NTV.

Speaking at the event, Charlie noted that the show is timely because not many young people interested in watching news. As such, the show will ensure that they are kept abreast.

"This is super exciting because it is bringing so many things. My show is Friday Night Live and what we will do is to highlight trending topics and update our viewers on what’s going on around the country,” he explained.

The Score, which will air between 5pm and 6pm every Saturday, will be hosted by Joe Saina, Lotan Sanaipei and Big Will while Kiss TV presenter Quellie Odero will continue host the Afterburn show alongside DJ Kim Nick Dee.

Kiss TV, which was ranked as the third most watched channel among young TV viewers (15-24-year-olds) in a report that was released in April 2022 by mobile surveying platform Geopoll, is seemingly keen to improve its ratings.

According to the report, the station faces stiff competition from Maisha Magic East, KTN News, and Al Jazeera which were the most popular among the 25 to 34-year-olds and Inooro TV, Citizen TV, and KBC which were the go-to TV channels for the older populations (35+).
