Jovial has just been selected by the Permanent Presidential Music Commission to be part of the lineup of entertainers set to perform at the Jamhuri Day celebrations on December 12.
The Jeraha singer excitedly shared her event poster on Instagram saying, "Another one… This 12th on Jamhuri day ill be performing live. Daima mi ni Mkenya."
Jovial fans were just as excited as she was and took to the comments section to pass their regards. "I like to see you in such performances🔥🔥🔥," one fan commented, while another one said, "Its gonna be lit🙌🙌🙌🙌🔥🔥🔥😍". A third fan said, "Yessssss my personal person 🔥🔥🔥🔥"
It's a piece of good news for Jovial who only a month ago had a scary medical incident when she collapsed suddenly. It seems that her busy schedule had gotten the better of her as she hinted at fatigue being the cause of her collapse. "Mwili yangu imekataa leo! Ile kuanguka nimeanguka if I was alone sijui ingekuwa aje!" she wrote on her Instagram, adding, "Yesterday was telling my team kimchezo tu nikama sifeel poa but ntakuwa tu sawa!"
Only recently, Jovial had openly posted about being "troubled". This coming after the viral rumours of a possible romance with 'LaLaLa' collaborator Willy Paul. "Lord, you know what troubles my heart!" Jovial wrote.
After yesterday's scare, Jovial has said that she will be taking time off of social media until she fully recovers. "Allow me to take a rest...I'll be off social media."
“Lately ive been at peace and a happy soul.. Mwisho wa mwaka jana na mwanzo wa mwaka huu I went through a lot! I was depressed, wrecked and completely lost but no one knew about it!
On social media everyone is happy, that’s what we are supposed to portray, but deep down inside slowly dying! Depression is real! But one thing you need to know is kila chenye mwanzo hakikosi mwisho! Hata upitie changamoto ya aina gani itapita tu!

The singer said that she believed that women are each other's enemies, she stated that women don't like each other. "Wanawake hatupendani, sijui shida hukuwa gani, one of the reasons why I'm choosy when it comes to female collaborations," she continued.
