Akothee's Sweet Message To Jalang'o After Victory

Madam Boss Akothee is not one to mince words and get all emotional but she changed all this and poured her heart out after hearing about Jalang'o winning the Lang'ata parliamentary seat. The singer posted on a sweet congratulatory message on her Facebook page on Wednesday, August 10, after Felix Odiwuor was declared MP-elect.

"My promoter who pays me millions for his Luo festival and treat me like an artist and a brand that is. Jalango pesa Luo festival mitina kabisa," Akothee stated.

She opened up about her relationship with the former Kiss 100 radio presenter revealing that he was a great professional.

"I have always wanted to have a man who wakes up at 5.00 am and go to bed late. A man who does things his own way, knows no inheritance or favors," she praised Jalang'o.

Akothee continued by saying that Jalang'o deserved all the good things that were coming his way.

"A man who has himself against the world. The go-getter, the winner, and the fighter. The vision bearer," she expressed her admiration for the new Lang'ata Member of Parliament.

Akothee explained that she followed closely the whole campaign, especially those involving the comedian.

"I looked at Jalango during campaigns and I could see the weight on his shoulders aah osiepnani😍. Youths should learn from you," she divulged.

The Sweet Love hitmaker also noted how proud she was of having a friend achieving their goal of being in the government.

"I am one of your proud friends, 👏. Congratulations JATELO they call you Phelo!
I call you baby. MHESHIMIWA" she concluded.

Jalang'o is not the only celebrity that participated in this years elections. There was an influx of celebrities who were seeking different elective positions.

Popular singer Eko Dydda, who is known for his staggering/stammering singing style, took to social media on Wednesday and revealed that he had won the Mathare North MCA seat while thanking his supporters for turning out in large numbers to vote for him.

However, other reports indicate that he has not won the seat and his main competitor beat him by a small margin.

Former rapper Davidson Ngibuini took to social media on Wednesday to thank his supporters for electing him as the MCA for Woodley Kenyatta Golf Course ward.

He also shared some results that showed that he had beaten his closest opponent with 600 votes. However, at the time of publishing this article, his claims had not been confirmed by the IEBC.


SortPesa CEO on Wednesday revealed that he had trounced his opponents after winning the Kasarani MP seat. However, his claims have not been confirmed by the poll agency.

Former Churchill Raw host Jasper Muthomi, known to many as MC Jessy, was eyeing the South Imenti parliamentary seat. He opted to contest as an independent candidate after failing to clinch the United Democratic Association (UDA) ticket.

As fate would have it, Jessy, who was making an entry into elective politics, failed to capture the MP seat and has since conceded defeat.
