Have you ever fantasized about having one of your favorite celebrities attend one of your events, birthday parties, or celebrations? Or simply going to a concert with all of your top ten musicians? That would be fantastic, and it would be at the top of many of our wish lists. However, if you want a superstar to attend at your party, event, or celebration, be prepared to pay big bucks. Celebrities charge based on their popularity, and their charges can range from a few thousand dollars to over a quarter million dollars. Isn't it crazy?
We put together a list of some of our favorite celebrities and how much they would charge for a performance.
Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, best known by his stage name, Kizz Daniel, kicks off our list as one of Nigeria's most booked musicians. With his smash song Woju, the musician shot to fame in 2014 and hasn't looked back since. Kizz Daniel charges anything between 5 and 6 million Naira (about Ksh. 1,641,495/-) for local concerts in Nigeria, and up to $80,000 for international appearances.
Next up is 2baba, who is best known for the song 'My African Queen'. Given his reputation, most people are surprised by his local cost of only N7 million Naira. When it comes to his appearrance charges, though, the star has a reputation for being incrediblyflexible and accommodating. 2baba bills anything between $35,000 and $45,000 for foreign performances.
Next on the list is Paul Nonso Okoye, a Nigerian singer, composer, and record producer. Paul was a former member of the dynamic duo P-Square and is best known by his stage moniker Rudeboy. The celebrity charges anywhere between 6 and 8 million Naira for local appearances and performances, and up to $100,000/- for foreign appearances.
Tiwa Savage, Nigeria's leading lady in the music industry, is next on the list. The artist is still the highest-paid female musician in Nigeria, so you know she's making that good money! Tiwa also charges anywhere between 6 and 8 million Naira for local shows, which appears to be the typical going cost for celebrities. When it comes to overseas performances, however, our favorite does not play; the diva costs a whopping $100,000/- to perform.
The next person on our list is Naira Marley, the President of the 'Marlians' fanbase. Apart from his music, the musician is nothing if not controversial, and I imagine that is what his followers enjoy the most about him. For local concerts, Naira Marley charges between 8 and 10 million Naira, while his foreign rate card might reach $100,000/-.
We couldn't make this list without including our favorite, Starboy aka Big Wiz aka WizKid. Despite the fact that he rarely performs in Nigeria, his local rate is anywhere between 20 and 50 million Naira, or around Ksh 5,471,652/- over five million Kenyan Shillings! We can only guess what his international rate card looks like.
So, if you're planning on having one of these celebrities perform at your event, we hope your wallet can handle it since they don't come cheap!
