Lovers of TV shows Selina and Zora are about to get the best Christmas gift yet. Brace yourselves because your two favourite stars from those hit shows are hooking up together for a new drama series.
Blessing Lung'aho who played Madiba in Zora and Celestine Gachuhi who played the title character in Selina will co-star in a new novela called Kiu which premieres this coming Jamhuri Day.
And going by the promos and trailer, the two will be the show's main love story. For Celestine Gachuhi, she is in the enviable position of starring alongside another handsome male star in Blessing Lung'aho after her stint alongside Pascal Tokodi in Selina which wrapped up in April this year after six riveting, gripping, and emotional seasons.
So who is this lucky woman who gets to kiss Kenya's most desirable men for work?
Celestine was born in 1997 to a military family. Her dad is a sergeant and her mum had five children including Celestine and her three sisters and one brother before she passed away in 2006 when she was only 9.
In 2018, at the age of 21, she landed her breakout role as the lead in Maisha Magic's Selina. It proved to be the start of a great career, and now at 25, she has become a bonafide romance and drama star.
In between Selina and her new show Kiu, she also starred in another show Yalaiti.
In May this year, they welcomed their first child, a baby girl whom she called a miracle baby. An emotional Celestine thanked her boo Phil for being beside her through her pregnancy journey, "Our miracle baby girl came, it's been a week now and our lives have since changed completely. Phil Kimemia I thank God for you you’ve stood by me since day one, the ups and downs as my priest. God bless you. It can only be God! A huge thanks to these amazing souls."
