Hollywood star and Oscars Academy winner Lupita Nyong'o openly made her private life public.

The Kenyan-Mexican actress on Thursday, March 25, introduced to the world the man who stole her heart over two decades ago.

Lupita identified the man she has loved for 24 years as Saheem Ali - A New York-based theater director.

In her birthday wishes to Ali, the actress noted that she expressed her gratitude to have shared her life and talent with him.

"Today is his birthday, and I am belting out a song of gratitude that we get to share our lives and our talents," Lupita wrote.

The 38-year-old actress revealed that she met Ali at the age of 14. The Black Panther star describes Ali as "Mercutio to my Juliet".

She further noted that the theater director is not only her confidante but also an ideal snuggle, and protective comforter among other things.

"When I was 14 he was Mercutio to my Juliet. Now, 24 years later, we are back at it again with him as my director in #RomeoYJulieta with @publictheaterny.

"But more than that he is my confidante, ideal snuggle and travel buddy, my gentle and protective comforter. May our paths continue to intertwine. Happy Birthday to you," she said.


Ever since getting into the limelight, Lupita Nyong'o has managed to play low with her love life.

There only one relationship that Lupita Nyong'o has been involved in was confirmed. That's when she dated Somali musician and rap artist, K'Naan - the artist behind the Fifa World Cup 2010 official song Wavin' Flags.

The rest of the relationships she has reportedly been involved in has remained rumors.

She has in the past been rumored to be dating actors Michael B. Jordan, Chiwetel Ejiofor, producer Michael Fassbender, and musician Jared Leto.

Same as other rumors, chances of Lupita and ALi dating will continue being so, as we know that they are only friends for now.
