Eric Omondi just came back from a highly successful tour in Tanzania.

The man sold out a whole stadium in another country, something he noted had never been done before.

Since his glorious return to the country, he has been back in the gym trying to get back the muscle mass that he lost.

Today afternoon, Kelebrity was able to get hold of East Africa's most popular comedian.

He was candid and spoke on everything we asked. one burning question we had for the father of one was what he thought of the relationship between his pal, Betty Kyallo and her new man Nick Ndeda.

He said that he was ecstatic for her.

"Wako sawa, She's my friend. I even talked to her today morning. She sounds very happy. Thats' what matters. I have never seen her so elated and so jovial, jumpy and happy. Ako sawa!"

Betty and Eric Omondi have been friends for manys year now and recently even hosted a show together, called The Big Quiz on KTN.

The show would come under intense scrutiny from Kenya Film Classification Board CEO Ezekiel Mutua, about its adult themes.

“The posters says +18, and on the face of it, it means the program would be adult in nature, yet it will air at 8pm (during watershed). It has since been clarified that the +18 refers to the age of participants and not the nature of content. The poster has been taken down!” he wrote.

He wasn't done yet, he also raised some issues with the Standard Group management.

“KFCB raised the matter with the Standard Group Management and the MD Joe Munene has assured us no adult or explicit content will be permitted. The content will fully comply with the stipulations of the Films and Stage Plays Act Cap 222 as well as the Kenya Information and Communications Act (KICA) and the Programming Code,” he added.

The show would however end ignominiously after contestants complained that they weren't paid their winnings.

The show's Executive Director Patrick Ojil said that winners who were yet to receive their rewards shouldn't blame Omondi and Ms. Kyallo, but should instead contact the organizing company.

“The management of The Big Quiz Show limited would like to inform the public that due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to discontinue the show after a six-week run,” Ojil said.

Kenya Film Classification Board CEO Ezekiel Mutua has issued a statement on complaints allegedly raised against an upcoming game show to be hosted by comedian Eric Omondi and Betty Kyallo’s on KTN Home.
