Yesterday, the honourable Member of Parliament who has gone by the nickname Jaguar for most of his public career, teased on his Instagram a photo of a sleek-looking luxury Jaguar XJ car parked in front of classy mansion.

In a later post, he confirmed that the stunning all-black car was his when he shared another photo of just Jaguar and Jaguar.

Things look to have calmed down for the Kigeugeu hit maker after a dramatic 2020. Early this year, in June, he got into trouble with the law after being arrested for allegedly inciting a mob to illegally take over other people's businesses. In response, scores of his supporters turned up outside of the police station to protest his arrest.

Jaguar is not a stranger to controversy. In 2019, he was slapped with yet another incitement charge. This time for calling on foreigners including Chinese traders to be kicked out of the famous Gikomba market. But later on, even the traders he was fighting for turned on him accusing him of not keeping his promises.

And before becoming an elected member of parliament, Jaguar got into the news in a big way after his Range Rover struck down and killed to pedestrians. There was no clarity on who was driving the car at the time, but the MP ended up paying a fine of Ksh 40,000 for the incident.

Is the new car a sign that Charles Njagua has moved on from all the past drama of his life? Who knows? But the MP has certainly had a normal past few months. Well, normal for his standards.

Since his July arrest, Jaguar has been spotted with President Uhuru Kenyatta and has been a vocal advocate of the concerning spike of Coronavirus infections in Nairobi, especially within his own constituency of Starehe.

As for the price of his new addition to his already packed garage, it doesn't come cheap. The price tag of Jaguar's new British-model namesake car is an eye-watering KSh 8.7 million! Pandemic for who?
