After a long court drama that has taken more than a year, the Ndichu brothers Eddie and Paul Ndichu are finally free of all charges. This is after their accusers the Murgor sisters together with the office of public prosecution dropped the charges.

The brothers however had to apologize before the charges were dropped.
“We have since taken time to introspect and self-reflect on the same and acknowledge that given our standing in society, much more was expected of us on how we handled the incident. The unfortunate experience has taught us invaluable lessons which will certainly guide us going forward," the brothers wrote.

A few months ago a warrant of arrest was issued against the two after they had failed to appear in court. The two had to first plead with the court to lift the warrant. The Arrest Warrant had been issued after Eddie missed appearing in court for two consecutive sessions.

The brothers were facing charges of assault after a video of the two assaulting the Murgor sisters in a city hotel broke the internet towards the end of 2021.

According to sources, the brothers resulted in violence after the ladies refused to hang out with them. In the video, one of the two was also seen vandalizing a private car belonging to a gentleman who was in the company of the ladies.

The man was also injured in the process. The director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji took up the case and had them prosecuted, and that now brings us to this new development.

Eddie who was previously not showing up in court had taken the plea and was released on a cash bail of 100, 000 Kenya Shillings.

He has been married to former Citizen Tv presenter Janet Mbugua but the two were rumored to have been divorced for some time now. Even though they have not responded to the rumors, they unfollowed each other on social media.

According to sources close to Janet, the two had separated a long way before the Ole Sereni incident. The reasons behind their breakup are rumored to be infidelity on Ndichu's side as well as the use of violence.

It is also rumored that they separated for the same reason the brothers were in court which is gender-based violence. Janet through her Inua Dada Foundation has been very vocal and instrumental in championing against GBV.

The two got married in 2015 in a glamorous event full of pomp and color. They have two sons together; Huru and Mali.

Speaking on the attack incident that happened at Ole Sereni hotel Janet Mbugua condemned his husband and his brother, even though the statement did not mention Eddie or his brother, the timing of the tweet certainly showed that she was aware of what was going on.
