The DCI said yesterday that the first part of the probe had been concluded. They will immediately move on to the second phase, which will include aggressive interrogation of key suspects, including all five people who were in Faxto's house that terrible night.
It will be noted that Jeff's girlfriend had earlier mentioned in an interview that his friend Mutanu had mentioned a fight. The lady, while confirming Jeff's relationship with Samidoh claimed that he had started a fight that morning.
Wairimu argued that Jeff rarely raised Samidoh in his talks unless not provoked. She said that the only reason he would have done that was if they had trash-talked the singer.

DJ Faxto who is the person of interest was adamant that he was not involved. Through his lawyer, he said that he is willing to cooperate with the investigating authorities to make sure that justice is served for Jeff.
The lawyer further said that the singer had not declined to attend any summons by the police to help with the investigations.
Reports from the popular Kikuyu blogger Martha Mwihaki Hinga indicated that there is an underhand power play with the intention of shielding the musician from being prosecuted in relation to the death of Jeff since he is well connected.

Following this scandalous and unfortunate incident, that led to the death of Jeff, the singer is said to have lost several endorsements from the companies he was representing through his artistry.
