Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has finally spoken up about the incident that everyone has been talking about over the past few weeks which concerns the death of Jeff Mwathi, which the DCI investigators have revealed was an act of murder and not suicide as had been earlier reported.

While speaking at an event where the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua was in attendance Karen called for the closure of Kasarani police station seeing there have been a lot of unresolved cases being reported at the station with people not finding justice.

Karen asked the deputy president to help in having the Kasarani police station completely overhauled so that people can get the services they deserve.

Karen has spoken about the matter seeing that they have ties with Jeff who happened to be Samidoh's nephew. Samidoh as well spoke about the matter calling for justice to be served to Jeff.

The singer, after a long silence, shared how he has been working tirelessly with the police to see that justice is served. The singer attended Jeff's burial and posted nothing about it until recently.

"It has been 16 days of grief, confusion, and endless trips to relevant offices in pursuit of justice. I am glad we are finally headed in the right direction. Truth and justice will always go together.

I wish to thank our Interior Cs. Kithure Kindiki for his intervention on this matter. I also wish to thank: Mwangi X Muthiora and the entire social media family, Hon. Betty N Maina, Hon. MejjaDonk Benjamin Gathiru, Hon. Francis Kuria Kimani, Hon. Anne Muratha, and all the political leaders who have helped us amplify the cry for justice. We shall forever be grateful. Jeff, we shall not relent until we find justice for you." He said.

Jeff's girlfriend Faith stated in an interview that his friends stated that the 23-year-old on the night of his death had started a fight over Samidoh.
Mutanu called her, asking about Jeff's relationship with Kikuyu singer Samidoh. She confirmed that he was his uncle. It was then that Mutanu mentioned that Jeff had started a fight at night while bragging about the singer being his uncle.

Wairimu argued that Jeff rarely raised Samidoh in his talks, not unless provoked. She said that the only reason he would have done that was if they had trash-talked the singer.

Jeff loved his uncle dearly. Videos have surfaced online of Jeff playing guitar while vibing Samidoh's songs.

The DCI  took over the case and has been working tirelessly. CS Kithure Kindiki spoke out publicly about the death of the 24-year-old, which has roped in popular jockey DJ Fatxo as a person of interest. The death had been reported as a suicide, but DCI officers have ruled out suicide.
Kenyans online harbored strong suspicions of foul play involving DJ Fatxo, whose house it was that Jeff plunged from. Some unsavory information about Fatxo's alleged sexual deviances also circulated on Twitter, pointing to a possible crime of passion angle. The hashtag #JusticeForJeff has trended for the last 48 hours.
