On Thursday, Parroty Vunulu of the Wanati group claimed that they had been kicked out of Kiss 100 after showing up without Mejja.
‘’I can't believe our Kenyan media are still discriminating 254 Artistes. Just imagine Kiss 100 Kenya called us for a radio interview today 8:45 am only to get there with Itskabagazi and Oneboy_01 and the Producer told us that they only want Mejjagenge ati Sisi hawatutambui. Very disappointed by Kiss Fm. Kidole cha Kati 🖕🖕’’ Parroty wrote in the post that has since been pulled down.
In a rejoinder, Jalang’o who was supposed to conduct the interview said that their booking team booked Mejja and not the trio. What's more, the musicians refused to comply with strict Covid-19 guidelines which dictated that only one person can be in the studio.
‘’Buda wewe pia utawacha hizoo…your booking team booked Mejja not you and the team. Nyinyi kufika kiss mkaambiwa bas mtu moja aiingie juu ya Covid rules za kiss… 1 guest… mkasema kama hamuingii wote interview ikae…sasa unaenda kutukanana.. wacha hizo," Jalang'o told Parroty.

Mejja, who was unwittingly smack in the middle of the drama has now broken his silence regarding the issue.
