Former Ligi Ndogo football player Masika Ayub Timbe looked cool as he readied himself to take a spin in his bright green Lamborghini Huracan worth over Ksh 20 million while out abroad.
The 29 year old who currently plys his trade in Thailand for Buriram United FC was pictured in the streets of Bangkok with the impressive $206,000 vehicle, which he bought after years of playing professional football in multiple countries including Belgium, China, Japan and England.
Ayub who has 24 caps and four goals for the Kenya national team Harambee Stars shared a picture of himself looking calm and collected as he approached the Italian-made sports car after picking up a coffee, and simply quoted the picture saying, "Therapy!".
The former Genk and Reading FC star had his hair styled in a box cut and draped in an all-black outfit from jacket. T-shirt, jeans, to his trainers.
The Lamborghini Huracan sports car debuted in 2014 and replaced the previous V10 offering, the Gallardo. A Lamborghini Huracan is priced between the range of $200,000 to $300,000 and is owe of the more popular luxury cars for professional footballers.
Timbe’s extravagant bright green purchase comes after he earned a move to Buriram United last December. Before that he had remained a free agent for five months since he parted Japanese club Vissel Kobe where he played with Spanish legend and World Cup winner Andreas Iniesta. Timbe earned an estimated £8,500 (Ksh 1.2 million) per week while playing for Beijing Renhe in China in 2019.
The star has gone on to become one of the most successful Kenyan football exports, scoring close to 50 career goals during his 10 year stay so far.
Jeff Koinange's Competition? Ayub Timbe is one man who is giving celebrity media personality Jeff Koinange a run for his money when it comes to expensive car collections. Recently, Jeff has been sighted on the road in a black-on-black Mercedes Benz G-Wagon.
According to current market rates, that type of car costs slightly more than Ksh 10 million and he has owned it for more than three years, as of April 2022. Jeff is also a big motorbike enthusiast but is yet to add one to his garage.
A while back, city lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi questioned why despite Jeff Koinange’s car being left handed, he still drove it around town like a normal car. He was concerned that the law was selective and that some people are accorded privileges that are not allowed by law while others were oppressed.
