PULLED DOWN! Copyright Law Catches Up With Diamond and Zuchu’s #Chehe Hit

There have been consistent side comments made by different people on ‘CheChe’ ever since the song was released. The Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu featured song has received a lot of love as much as backlash. There were allegations from Diamond’s baby mama and ex- Tanansha Donna that the pair had in fact stolen and copied Beyonce’s concept from ‘Naughty Girl’ and also borrowed a couple of lyrics from one of Tanasha’s songs.

We are not sure if this bad luck is the one that has followed their hit because as we speak now the pair of artists is not happy after their hit song that amassed a huge number of views has been pulled down from YouTube over copyright law infringements claims. 

At the time of its pull down, it was trending at No. 1 in both Kenya and Tanzania, and had garnered over 2.5 million views within 5 days of being released.
According to evidence shown by YouTube, a guy only known as Tony Anthony seems to have reports the video citing some infringement rules. 

 “Video unavailable. This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Tony Antony,” reads the message from YouTube.

However this might soon be resolved as Head of Digital Department at WCB Wasafi, Kim Kayndo says they are in talks with the YouTube management to ensure that the #Cheche video is reinstated back on YouTube. He is also of the view that the copyright strike issued against the Cheche video is fake.
