Diamond Bigs Up Kenyan Fans Despite Octopizzo Hating

Diamond's new song WAAH which features Lingala legend Koffi Olomide is dominating local air waves as we speak. The song is surely set to be a Christmas earworm that you'll be hearing in every matatu, club and kiosk soon enough.

The song has just crossed over 4 million views on YouTube in only one day since it debuted. An African record. And it is not lost on Diamond who is helping drive up the song's popularity- his huge Kenyan fanbase.

The song is currently trending on the number one YouTube spot within the Kenyan region and Diamond has just recognized our efforts.

And although Kenyan fans have helped Chibu Dangote reach big milestones in the past day, rapper Octopizzo is not happy. Yesterday (December 1) he shared a post expressing disapproval with the way Kenyans are supporting the Tanzanian pop star too much. Octopizzo cursed Kenyans online for supporting the Bongo star instead of our own singers like Otile Brown. He said:

But Diamond has brushed aside the comments and instead has focused on his Kenyan fans, to thank them for all the love and support. "Thank you for the big Support and Love KENYA!"

Diamond's thank you post to his Kenyan fans was accompanied with a video of Aggie the Dance Queen, the Kenyan dancer famous for being the lead dancer in Sauti Sol's Short n Sweet video. To prove how much he loves Kenya, this was Diamond's second WAAH! Dance Challenge video by Aggie that he has shared on his page today.

WAAH! made Diamond the first African artiste to break over 2 million YouTube views in less than 24 hours. And he keeps shattering the records. The song currently stands at 4.3 million views.
