Bonnie as he's popularly known not only attacked Martha's detractors but all Kenyans in a scathing post on his Twitter, "Kenyans are naive, very naive. Martha Karua is blamed for post election violence that she didn't benefit from."

The usually outspoken Bonnie's got his own fame because of his photographic coverage of that dark period of Kenya's history which killed over 1,000 people. He was working as a photojournalist for national newspaper The Standard when the violence broke out and his gruesome first-hand photos helped to show Kenyans and the world the real toll of the violence.

In his post, Bonnie knows exactly who Kenyans should blame instead, and it's not Martha Karua, who is accused of helping the then ruling regime to rig the election. A dispute which quickly escalated. "She was set up, she defended Kibaki without knowing what was going on. Kibaki, Raila, Ruto and Uhuru don't get as much hate as Martha but those four men benefited from the violence."

The 2007 post-election violence has become a hot topic of conversation online. This is after Kenya's top cop George Kinoti put fear in the boots of everyone involved yesterday when he announced that The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has reopened the cold case.

“We are going back to these cases because people are being threatened, we cannot allow this to happen again in our country,” Kinoti said, “we have heard from the victims and they all know who are threatening them. We will protect them,” said DCI Kinoti.

Among those mentioned to get into deep trouble include the newly christened Hustler Bae, Deputy President William Ruto, who was last weekend pictured living large in Dubai while enjoying one of the world's most expensive steak. DP Ruto was charged at the Hague's International Criminal Court along with President Kenyatta and four others, but all charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.

On her part, Martha's political career has took a downhill turn since the unity government which was formed by President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga after the violence. She lost multiple elections in 2013 and 2017, and even lost a Governor's race to President Kenyatta's most-favoured, Anne Waiguru.

Martha is unapologetic to her critics and has responded to the online attacks by saying, "Absolutely no apologies for being Kibaki’s agent at KICC, a tallying center where Raila Odinga had James Orengo... I do not need forgiveness from any one nor will ever seek any."

Kenyans were not happy at all with Bonnie's sentiments about Martha, and they gave him a piece of their mind. One commenter asked, "Set up? [She] worked for the government which oversaw massive post electoral fraud whose president was sworn in at night with disputed votes. All you preach against exposes you for who you really are, No difference with the rest of our politicians."
