The list shocked many, as they are still trying to recover from the effects of COVID-19. Due to the pandemic, there have been millions of jobless people, broken families, and a sense of hopelessness still lingering.

The DJ got lots of congratulatory comments from his fans and colleagues, with some throwing in some teasing messages.

In a December 2019 interview with Kenyans, he revealed the highest amount that he has ever been paid for a gig. It was not a conventional event. He had been invited to play at the United States 144th Military anniversary in Kenya.

"The highest I have ever received is Ksh250,000 and that was for three hours. Making such an amount is not so regular, that comes around the New Year's eve or extremely high-end events," he said.

This is inspiring, considering that his first gig ever earned him only Ksh. 600.
