Most people just know her as Wahu but her full names are Rosemary Wahu Kagwi. She was born on 22 March 1980 in Nairobi to Mr GS Kagwi and Mrs Nyakio Kagwi.
Wahu grew up in Parklands with her five siblings. She has two sisters and two brothers - Serah Kagwi, Charity Kagwi, Daniel Kagwi and David Kagwi.
Little is known about what Wahu's siblings do as they aren't don't share much on social media.
Wahu Kagwi went to Hospital Hill Primary School. She was not just about the books as she participated in swimming and running.
She then joined Precious Blood Riruta. Wahu describes herself as a below-average student who worked hard.
Despite the difficulties she faced in her education, she learnt the values of hard work, neatness and discipline, traits that she still embodies up to date.
As for the university, Wahu is an alumnus of the University of Nairobi. She graduated with a bachelor of arts in mathematics and later a masters in communication.

She went on to write her second “Showers of Blessings” with a high school friend named Wangeci to celebrate the school's top performers.
For an education system that highly values academics over the arts, Wahu remains proud that the school loved her song so much that they still sing it.
