She was born on 9 November 1996 in Pumwani Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya. Nadia Mukami went to Kari Primary School and completed her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) in the year 2009. 

She then attended Mount Laverna School in Kasarani where she scored a B+ in her national exams.

The songstress furthered her education at Maseno University where she studied business administration and focused on Finance. 

Whilst studying, Nadia Mukami released her first song and her parents were delighted about her decision to pursue music and support her career.

Nadia Mukami is a celebrated Kenyan singer and songwriter who has taken the world by storm. Her first song ‘Barua ya Siri’ was released while she was in her first year at University.

In April 2020, Nadia Mukami announced that she was taking a break from social media after a woman by the name of Stella Bella claimed that she scammed her.

Here’s what Nadia posted:

“I’m writing this with tears in my eyes and they are swollen because of crying! I know they say I am a public figure, I need not show emotions; I will show my emotions. There isn’t an insult I haven’t received. All levels of explicit insults,” 

Her post went on: “This has been a month of one heartache after another, I swear I have broken down! I am always the strongest among my friends. They say that God doesn’t give you something you can’t handle. I wish he didn’t trust me this much every time!! I’m (sic) taking a break, I will be back.” she concluded. 

Here’s part of what necessitated Nadia Mukami’s reaction. 

According to Stella, the two agreed that she (Stella) would send Ksh 80,000 to Nadia who would then take Ksh 65,000 and send the rest back to her. Stella said that this did not happen. Nadia refuted these accusations. 

Nadia Mukami is not the first celebrity who has been bullied off social media. Comedian Mulamwah was also forced to quit social media after being cyberbullied
