Mammito whose real name is Eunice Wanjiru Njoki was born on 18 September 1993 in Kibera. Mammito’s mother, Nancy Njoki, raised her and her two siblings singlehandedly.
She worked as a tailor to make ends meet. Eunice Mammito Njoki also lived with her grandmother in Murang’a with whom they sold uniforms to make money.
Mamitto is the firstborn of three children. Her brother and sister are still in school. Eunice Mammito has never met her father but she said she never needed to as her mother provided everything.

She then moved to PCEA Silanga High School, a day school, for her form four due to school fees issues.

Growing up in the slums of Kibera, she used to be part of different sensitization groups that went around the community to talk to people about different issues.
After graduation, Eunice Mammito, just like any other young graduate went in search of work, unsuccessfully.
She then turned to comedy which was something familiar as she grew up listening to a comedy show with her mum. Mammito auditioned for 'Churchill Show' several times unsuccessfully.
Her jokes were good but she lacked confidence and didn’t command the stage. After her failures, she was ready to move to Thika and do mitumba business when she gave the auditions one last try. Guess what? She got in.

Then came Mammito’s first-ever performance on 'Churchill Show'. No one laughed, she was scared, her delivery was off, she didn’t know how to handle the crowd and she eventually walked off stage.
That was not her only bad day at the office. In another instance, she recalled being dismissed by a woman in the audience, an incident she said broke her.
Despite all the frustrations, Mammito kept going and today, she commands the stage and became the most followed female comedian on Instagram in Africa. She’s also gone and done shows in other countries like Rwanda and South Africa.
