Boniface Mwangi revealed the tragic ordeal through an Instagram post in which he claims that Machakos, Governor, Alfred Mutua, had a hand to play in this underhanded act.

According to the photojournalist, Mutua used state resources to blow up the house his family was building. The Governor is yet to comment on the allegations leveled at him, we will keep you posted as the story develops.

“The bullets, the explosives they used are on the scene. So what kind of a country are we living in? Mutua realised hashtags can't scare me and they're now using explosives. I still don't fear because the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want, He shall protect me”, part of his post read.

Upon getting wind of this, top celebrities took their time to console Mwangi. Nonini was amongst the journalist’s famous friends giving him words of encouragement in the comment section. The rapper advised his pal to hold his head high and hoped that the authorities would get to the bottom of the situation.

He followed up his post with a throwback video of him getting shot by a police officer four years ago. The activist accompanied the post with a caption whereby he noted that he will never stop speaking the truth.
This recent incident caps off an interesting week for Boniface Mwangi as he was recently in the eye of the storm following his reports on the Ndichu brothers' alleged assault of two ladies, Kenyan netizens took to Twitter to give their opinions about the popular activist.

At the time of writing the hashtag had over 9000 tweets.

The hashtag elicited mixed sentiments from the tweeps who were participating. Some of the top reactions included one tweep stating that Mwangi should learn how to respect men, and proceeded to call the journalist a fraud.

Another Twitter user, however, had the opposite view of what was happening online, he posted that Boniface Mwangi was great at what he does and often puts his life in danger in order to defend others.
